Self tanning tips for a natural, streak free result:
- Exfoliate and shave 24 hours before – Focus on elbows, knees, ankles, and any dry patches. Do not everything shower/shave and immediately self tan afterwards.
- Moisturize dry areas right before application – Use a light layer on hands, feet, knees, elbows, and ankles to prevent them from getting too dark.
- Use a tanning mitt – It helps prevent streaks and orange palms. Put foam directly onto your mitt, not your skin.
- Apply in sections – Legs, torso, arms, then face. Blend thoroughly.
- Use less product on hands and feet – Whatever is left on the mitt is usually enough.
- Wait before dressing – Let the tan dry completely and wear loose, dark clothing. Long sleeves and pants are highly recommended so you have no skin to skin touching.
- Avoid water and sweating for the development time recommended by the product (until your rinse time).
- Maintain with moisturizer daily to help the tan fade evenly. Make sure the lotion you are using is self tan friendly (No mineral oil, parabens, petroleum, or sulfates).
